The truth is that an outdated, shabby kitchen doesn’t create harmony in the home or inspire anyone to cook!

If you love food (and who doesn’t?!), a well-designed kitchen is essential. In a recent project, it was realized that the existing kitchen wasn’t up to par with the needs of today or tomorrow. It had a poor layout for hosting, lacked adequate counter space, and didn’t have enough storage space for all of the proper baking equipment and serving pieces.

The goal of this kitchen renovation was to create a warm, open space that would make the homeowners – and the guests – feel right at home.

The renovation involved expanding the kitchen footprint by removing walls and taking some space from the garage.  This immediately gave the kitchen a more open feel and brought in more natural light.  By capturing more square footage from another space, there was now room for a large island to serve as the centerpiece with multiple purposes: ample counter space for a spread of food, plenty of storage space underneath, and much better flow.

A warm, classic, and timeless look that incorporated rustic wood beams and a solid antique oak panel pantry door added character and charm.

This well-planned kitchen configuration allows guests to comfortably move around the island’s large marble countertop and provides a truly enjoyable cooking experience for everyone, every day.  Fewer things bring greater joy than hosting family and friends in a newly renovated kitchen.
